SAX AND THE CITY: A huge success
By Cecilia I M

The Mega-Rhythm Productions added another feather to its cap by the success of its initial venture for this year - the Sax and the City show.

Held last May 4, 2007 at the Basement, the show of mega sounds and lights captured the hearts and sights of unexpected number of guests headed by Billy Ick who is the general manager of ABS-CBN Australia.

Produced and directed by Conrad Isip, added more glitters to the dinner show were the performances of local Filipino talents: Mark Gonzales, EL AKOUS Band, Micah Asuncion, Camille De Guzman-Nogal, and with the one and only popular movie-tv actress-comedian Ms Jinky Oda.

The former star of Philippine's popular primetime show "Okay Ka Fairy Ko" brought the house down with her powerful voice and funny jokes.

The audience was serenaded by the saxophonist-Mark Gonzales. Added more delights to the show were the ballad songs of Micah and Camille. Lovers were given a pre-valentine treat by the songs of El Akous with band members Miguel, Ronald, DJ, Paolo and Aldwin.

"What a magnificent show" was the unanimous response from the audience headed by Billy Ick.

Sponsored by Glocomm, ABS-CBN Australia, Pinoy Ticketek, Platinum Salsa Group, San Miguel Corporation, the four-hour non-stop entertainment and fun was a prelude to a major concert to be held on July 28, 2007 at the Atrium Castle Hill RSL, under the same Mega-Rhythm Productions called Mega-Soundz '07-the Rhythm of Latin.

Founded since 1992 by producer, host and directed by Conrad, Mega-Rhythm Productions continue to showcase local talents here and New Zealand.

The management would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone, who made the show possible. Special thanks to the production crew headed by Donna Isip and Gina Villoria ; Colette Morris (Ticket Control/Reception), Jason Wright (Official Photographer), Charlotte Morris (Official Make-Up Artist), Ticket Sales - Noreen Ricafort & Ellen Patiag, Karen Esteves (Usherette), Matt, Francis, RJ (Ushers), Rommel & Gerwin. Special acknowledgement to The Basement's management and staff headed by Rodney and Dionna.

The show's producer would like to extend his apology to those who did not make it to the show due to limited seats available.
